Parkland Pregnancy Resource Center Volunteer Positions
Client consultant – Work with clients at first appointment visits; assess client needs and refer for community service agencies. Address different issues that the client might have in a crisis pregnancy situation such as financial needs, abortion vulnerability, abuse, health needs, and housing needs.
Parenting Class Teacher – Present established curriculum, including: prenatal care, fetal development, infant care, safety, child development, Bible Study, and much more. Record attendance and point information for clients. Clients receive incentives in our Boutique and Clothes Closet for attendance. Classes meet weekly.
Dad 24/7 Class Teacher – Work with male clients addressing issues from a dad’s perspective. Curriculum includes several video series and studies for men and Bible Study.
Parent Support Class Teacher – Present established curriculum to clients. This five-week course includes a certificate of completion. This class for individuals or couples who have been ordered to take parenting classes.
HOPE (Healing our Past Experiences) Class Teacher – Present established curriculum to clients or requested groups. Classes meet weekly for ten weeks. Confidentiality is of the utmost importance.
Shopping Assistant – Assist clients shopping in the Clothes Closet and Boutique areas. Recording items on client sheet and making sure items are taken off the inventory sheets. Weekly 2 hour shifts on Mondays 10:00am to 7:00 pm available.
Childcare Worker – Watch children of clients from infant to toddler while the parent or parents attend class. Weekly 2 hour shifts on Mondays 10:00am to 7:00 pm available.
Office Worker – Make copies of curriculum pages, make client folders and copy forms for the folders, keying information into the computer for clients and/or special events. Answering the phone.
Sorting of Material Donations – Sort, clean, and repair donated material items to get them ready for the Clothes Closet and Boutique.
Cleaning Volunteer – This position involves housekeeping duties one day a week. Duties include dusting classrooms, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping, emptying trash, and cleaning bathrooms.
